Kryolan has expanded the range of professional Aquacolor water makeup with new UV Dayglow colors that can not only be used only for special effects, but are also real cosmetics. These are now available from us at facepaintshop.eu.
The colors are already striking in normal light and glow strongly in black light. Some even in surprising shades. For example, light pink in UV turns purple and red in black light orange! Above you see the colors without and with blacklight.
Was there a problem with the "old" UV colors?
No. The pigments alone are not specific to cosmetic applications. Although we have been using them for decades, no problems are known. They were never sold as cosmetics. Something that was certainly emphasized in recent years with an extra mention.
What are the differences?
Apart from the fact that the new version contains "cosmetic pigments", you will notice that these colors yield just as smoothly as the normal water make-up. The pigments in the "Effect Color" make the whole thing stiffer. An important difference is that various new colors will glow in blacklight in a different color. The original version glows brighter, in its own color. Pay attention if your customer wants to combine different products, because the UV sprays glow in their own color, for example, while some of the new Aquacolor colors do not!
Can I exchange the current colors?
No. They have not been replaced. Only cosmetic quality has been added. To prevent confusion, the current version has been renamed.
How can I actually recognize whether something is cosmetics or not?
The most striking difference is that there is no ingredient declaration on non-cosmetic make-up products. Then you know for sure that it is not cosmetics. Conversely, however, it happens that brands place an ingredient declaration with the addition "this is not cosmetics". Another variant is "contains FDA & EU approved ingredients". That therefore says nothing about any other (non-approved) ingredients. It is also about the whole.
